A Radical Response to 50 Shades of Grey
The glamour presented in novels like these is a lie. There is nothing glamorous about abuse in real life. Do you have daughters? Do you have sisters? Do you have friends whom you care deeply about because they’re human beings with a soul, not just a body? Would you celebrate something or someone who would disregard your sister’s dignity for the sake of using her for his own selfish sexual gratification which derives from her humiliation and her pain?
Love is patient, love is kind. It doesn’t boast. It does not insist on its own way.
